Staycation

Dad has to work at workcamp all week. This is for our youth kids in the Verde Valley where they do some pretty hard labor all around the valley all week and help with VBS and stay overnight at the church. Lots of fun and lots of work and not baby/mommy friendly. : / So this is my first year not going. I was really sad at first, but then I found out that we could come to Phx and have a staycation at the "Stevens Resort" with Nana and Papa. So far we have had so much fun on our little trip!
Yesterday started off rocky! Landon screamed the last 45 minutes of the trip down here...which was awesome. He has never done that b4...so of COURSE he has to start when it's just me driving with him AND the wieners! Anyway. He's been sooo good! We went shopping yesterday and got him some ADORABLE clothes, found me a mommy friendly swimsuit (thank goodness! I only had to try on like 50 to find one I liked) and then made dinner and relaxed at home. It was wonderful! Then he has another great night of sleep and it's a good thing! This morning after breakfast we went swimming for the first time (we had to video it for dad, but no way am I putting a video of me in a bikini on the internet!!!) ! Then we took him to the nail salon while we got mani/pedis and he was so good the whole time until the last 10 min and he was DONE! It was like he was sick of all the girl stuff and just couldn't wait to be done! Haha. You can see by the pic that he was not a happy camper! But he's been so content and we've had a blast so far! Tomorrow we get to see friends and go swimming again! :) And then the next day we get to see Aunt Jess! It'll b a blast for sure!
