Landon is also quite the consistent little tummy sleeper. Obviously we swaddle him, put him in his positioner, and make him sleep on his back...but I let him have lots of tummy time and sleep on it when I'm watching him very closely. So we were walking (like we do every single day) and he started freaking out for no reason. He had just been fed, changed, had a paci and I could not find one stinkin thing wrong! So I picked him up and am carrying him up the gigantic hill while pushing the stroller with my other hand. So annoying, not that safe, and it didn't help. Fine. I put him back in and he is arching his back and throwing a royal fit. Great. So I put the stroller in the yard of these people and just waited. He flipped on his belly and almost instantly fell asleep. Hmmm...dilemma. Not sure that it's that safe...but he's also really happy. Ahhh it's prob only a 1/4 mile home so I'll just leave him. No, I'm not the mother of the year, but o well. He slept peacefully like that for 20 min even after we got home and I got to finish my walk in peace! I thought he looked very funny and figured "only my child..."

Oh my child...
Landon is SO his own little person! One night he sleeps 8 and 1/2 hours, the next...up every 3. One day he's eating every 2 hours, the next he decides he'd rather eat every three. One week he's not taking any naps, the next he naps at least twice a day. He SO has his own little mind and know what he wants!! But I must say that he is consistently fabulous any time we take him out, like Karen and Aaron's wedding for about 3 hours (pictures to follow) and the graduation parties recently. He had a blast at the wedding and didn't let out a peep the entire time! He did get to meet Joelle (Our music pastor and his wife's precious little girl) and thought she was pretty stinkin cute! :)

Oh, I just laughed out loud at that last picture! His great-grandmother heard me, came in to see too, and she had the same reaction! Love it!
ReplyDeleteSis, let the little guy sleep on his belly. I don't care what the baby experts say, he is strong enough to flip himself (if for some reason he can't breathe). Any child that would be so desperate to sleep like this, is just screaming to be on his tummy. You slept on yours and you are still alive! Oh my goodness. This is hilarious!!!
