Landon's almost 3.5!

Landon's SO big all of the sudden. He's starting to get long and lean like a kid and is definitely moving out of the "toddler" stage. He's been so helpful and mostly obedient and much calmer than the first 3 years of his life for sure! :)

He's starting Preschool again tomorrow! Such a big boy. He's stoked. He loves his school and his teacher so it will be fun to be back again!

His sleep looks the same as it did at the beginning of 3. He sleeps 11.5-12 hour nights every night and takes 1.5-2 hour naps each afternoon. He's definitely NOT ready to drop that nap any time soon :)

Landon LOVES sweets and carbs! Poor boy. We don't keep much of anything he loves in the house because we don't like to keep junk around, but I think it's good for him. I'm not sure he'd ever eat anything healthy if we constantly had Aunt Linds bread and cupcakes and cheez-its around!

Bub's vocabulary and speech patterns continue to crack us up. He has a memory like an elephant and talks like he's at least 5. I think he's so smart! ;) He's very observant and picks up on very subtle feelings in a situation and is very emotional about things like our car wreck or people getting hurt. He's been very involved and asked many questions about the Granite Mountain Hot Shots as well as the Russell family here in town that recently lost their son in Iraq. He surprises us daily with new facts and things like spelling his name that we had no idea he could do!

We are working on some pre-writing skills right now as he's super into wanting to read and write right now. We are also working on letter sounds now that he knows most of their names.

Landon's getting so big! He sleeps on the top bunk in his twin bed now and LOVES how big his bed is. He can almost do his carseat buckles by himself and we are hoping the new carseat we are getting soon will be even easier for him to help with. He completely dresses and undresses himself now which is incredibly helpful! Shoes are the only thing he still has trouble with. He is drinking from a cup at the table now and not sippies woo hoo! :)

Our Bub - you are so bright and funny and quirky. I love all your little things your are OCD about and the things that make you laugh. You are so helpful and obedient lately and have a heart of gold under that tough boy exterior. I love to watch you wrestle and get hyper with your dad and SO enjoy the snuggles you so generously give out while we watch Curious George after naps. You crack us up when you say things like, "are you thinking what I'm thinking?" and when you tell us we aren't very good at things but it's ok because you still love us. LOL! You are so strong and brave and opinionated. I hope you are always so confident  and sure of who you are. I love your questions about Jesus and hearing you tell us your memory verses and Bible stories you've learned. One of my favorite things right now, is watching you worship. I know you do not understand God's love yet. Or the magnificent things He has done for you. But you sure do lift your little hands and that sweet voice to our maker and make my heart sing from week to week. I cannot wait for God to capture your little heart.
