New things -
Well, ready or not. The potty training came! I was the one not ready. ;) Landon was.......difficult. So I wasn't looking forward to venturing to potty training with Laney! But it's been ridiculously easy. Like SO. She was so ready for months and I kept putting it off and I'm so glad we finally just did it! We went all in for three days and it clicked and she hasn't looked back. She's even been staying dry for naps and nighttime! What?! She loves being big and getting a puff for going potty and loves keeping her Minnie unders dry :)
Words-
Just as I was about to call the speech lady...Laney started talking! Woo hoo! She doesn't have a ton of words. But probably around 20 now! I'll take it :) So favorites are Mamaaaaaaaaa (imagine the cutest yet whiniest tone possible), dog (mostly referring to Libby our Pastor's dog), Annie, she loves to look in the mirror and say "I Laaaaaaaney". It's downright adorable. She says thank you to everyone for everything and loves to say Minnie, because Minnie is her absolute favorite. She's also finally replaced all her signs with words! yay!
Eating -
Laney has always been a big eater, until lately. She's definitely shown some pickiness lately and has flat out refused to eat a few times. But she's figuring out that she's not allowed to snack all day and so she better eat or she will be hungry! :) Some favorites are - oats, raspberries, yogurt, homemade muffins/bread/granola bars of any kind, veggies and meat. She will chose meat/veggies over sugar/carbs any time, any day.
Schedule -
Laney is still doing awesome at blanket and room time and loving sibling play time with bubba. Reading and singing one-on-one with mama is probably still her favorite time of day though. She does -
9 - Roomtime

1030 -mom and Laney play time
12- lunch
1/130 -nap
4 - Wake, milk and we go for a walk
5- sibling play with bubba
8- bedtime
Growth - I'm excited to see what she weighs next month! She's in 24 month jammies/shirts/dresses! Her hips and butt are teeny still and 18 months is plenty. 12 still fits too. Keeping her underwear on is an adventure without leggings ;)
My sweet Laneybug. You are so precious to us. We love your hugs and kisses, your sweet cuddles, and your hilarious laugh. Everyone in the house has to smile when someone is tickling you and we hear those adorable giggles of yours! You love your brother so much. I am having so much fun watching you two play and learn together. You are such a sweet blessing to us!!! Happy 23 months baby girl!
