It's hard to know how to structure the older kids blogs now, but I'm going to try!!
Growing up - Landon has lost 5 teeth now and has 4 adult teeth that are grown in. It makes him look so much bigger! He's in all size six clothing now finally.
Things that come naturally - He is great at memorization. He especially shines in Bible and with memory verses. He also loves math. Landon continues to be a leader, a helper, an independent and mature little man. He definitely has a plan and a strong will. He will be something incredible one day!!
Landon loves to write things out, to be in charge, to feel like he's contributing. He really values relationships and achieving things that feel worth his time and effort.
He still has a major sweet tooth! I'm not big on treats and I wonder how many times a week he asks me if he can have one! haha. He also really enjoys riding his bike (2 years on a 2 wheels now!) and being outside for any reason. He's gone camping a couple times with Matt and just LOVED it. He soaks up one-on-one attention for sure.
Things that are the same - He still uses and loves his lovey. He still has a love of words and their definitions and how to use them. He really enjoys talking with grown ups and having a chance to use some of these words (sometimes incorrectly and always very cutely). Landon is hilarious. He does this thing where something stikes him as funny and he just bursts out laughing in the funniest and cutest way! I just love it. The other night, Ellie was being naughty and sneaking up the stairs every time a kid opened the gate. I had chased her 6 or 7 times already and the next time I said "Eleanor Roosevelt! Stop climbing the stairs". Landon laughed so hard it made all the rest of us laugh <3 p="">You are still an incredible big brother and love your "roommate" a lot, even when he drives you nuts!
School - He's in first grade at the Christian school here in town. We LOVE it! I love their focus on character traits and biblical principals. I love the importance of scripture being reinforced in his school setting. We've been really impressed with the academics there also and feel like he's grown so much. Landon's spelling and reading are going really well! He's made a lot of progress already this year.
Oh my Bubs! You bring so much fun and structure and leadership to our happy little circus. It's amazing to watch Jesus already forming and changing your heart! I just love being your momma. I love our time we sit down and do homework together alone (mostly) and I love reading to you. We are so blessed to be your parents and to have you as our Bubba.
