Lucas is two!

Our goofy and crazy Bukey! We love you so much. You crack us up and surprise us and keep us on our toes regularly. We are so thankful you are part of our family.

New things - Lucas talks SO much. His vocabulary has grown like crazy. He parrots crazy things all the time like Elmo saying "green light". He loves to say that and smile this crazy turkey smile. :) He wants to do anything and everything that his siblings are doing. If anyone dares to drop off the big kids at school and not take him with, they are in BIG trouble! We were going to try to potty train, but with the move we are putting that on hold!

Health - We got ear tubes put in a bit before you turned two. They have been wonderful for you! You've had two ear infections since the tubes but now it just drains and you aren't in any pain. SO great. You are so much happier, you sleep better, whine less and we could tell you could hear way better. You would put your hands over your ears and yell LOUD frequently when we first got them put in! Other than that you've been healthy! We've started giving you some dairy and if it's in small amounts you do well! Soy was a fail again.

Schedule - You are still eating and sleeping around the same times and I assume you will continue to until you begin dropping your nap!
7 - wake and milk and breakfast
10 - snack
1130 - lunch
1230 - nap
230 - awake and milk
530 - dinner
7 - bedtime

Eating - Lucas continues to be a wonderful eater. He doesn't care much for Brussels Sprouts and eggs, but will eat just about anything else. He loves broccoli, cereal, toast, oats, tacos, hotdogs, french fries, and berries. He doesn't seem to care much for treats like his sister.

Growth - Lucas is still growing like a weed! He's in all 24 month/2T clothing now and his size 4 diapers are beginning to get small. At his 2 year well-visit he was back to 30th% or so for height and 50th% for weight. He's our most compact kid thus far. I still believe he has some low blood sugar like his momma and gets hangry when he needs to eat.

Words/signs - There are way too many to list but some favorites of mine are, "hewwo" for hello, and Elmo funny! Elmo cute! He loves to run and yell "tra tuck!!!!" when he hears that trash truck a few times a week. He asks for "guacaaca" guacamole and it's hilarious. He says monka-monkey for his lovey and morning Ellie, morning dadda etc to greet our family members whenever he wakes up. It's so cute and sweet.

Likes - Lucas loves car-carts at the store, his lovey and paci, his siblings, going places, brushing his teeth, the trash truck, Elmo, and playing with anything that's not allowed.

Dislikes- He doesn't like being told no. He often says whyyyyyy when we tell him something isn't allowed. He doesn't love going to bed, being alone, being tired or hungry.

Bukey Bukes. We just love you so very much! We are so thankful for you and all the funny chaos that you bring to our family. I cannot imagine life without you! The things I can remember about life before you seem awfully boring now! Thanks for being our funny entertainer.
