13 month old Lucas

Oh baby Bucas! We just love you SO much! We all just eat up your smiles and giggles all day long. Your siblings adore you. They think you are pretty awesome. Your dad and I just think you hung the moon or something of course!! You think you are definitely three or older and would never believe you are a baby if you could understand us! I love your sweet and independent little spirit.

Health - Lucas is doing amazing!!! He's off his meds, off his RX formula and is only choking now on liquids thinner than milk. He was sick earlier this month and did his first breathing treatments. He did great though. His antibiotics are finished now and I'm hoping he stays healthy for the rest of the winter!

Schedule - the last month or so it's been... 730 - Wake, eat 6 oz, play
                                                                930 - Nap
                                                                1030 - I wake him, 6 oz bottle
                                                                2 -4 - nap
                                                                730 - Bedtime

Eating - Lucas is an amazing eater! I think he eats more than I could! He LOVES fruit and beans. He likes some veggies and meat. Beyond that he's also been eating GF oats, corn tortillas, wheat bread, peanut butter and honey. I'm super impressed. I accidentally gave him something with soy and it was BAD. Obvious fail. He also failed eggs this month. But he's doing great!

Growth - He's in all 12 month clothing now and some 18 month PJs. He doesn't have to do weight checks anymore or feeding therapy! No more GI either. He's seriously just doing great. He is a BIG boy. I think he will be our biggest kid as they get older!

Changes - He still just has 6 teeth! He's running and standing himself up. He's started a bit of blanket time this month. 7 mins is the longest he's gone. But we are on our way!

Words/signs - This is fun! He's added some new stuff this month and I hope it continues! Laney talked SO late. It's nice to have a baby who likes to talk!! He's saying and signing dog and all done. He's clapping. He is saying uh-oh and MOOO. I love hearing his little words!

Likes - He likes his lovey/paci and before bedtime snuggles. But only snuggles before bed! He likes bath time and walks, anything electronic, his siblings, social situations and touch N feel books. He's been throwing balls this month and really enjoys that. He likes his milk/bottles and the dogs.

Dislikes - He doesn't love getting his diaper changed, bright sunlight, breathing treatments, wearing clothes, loud/sudden sounds, being told no, getting his face wiped, or being alone.

We love you crazy boocs. You are so much work and so much fun. You are SUCH a little sunshine. I'm so thankful for you and your place in our family.
