Delaney is 3!

I cannot believe it! My precious baby girl is so big. She seems so big in so many ways, but is still so much my precious baby. Have I mentioned that I LOVE having a girl!? She is so my buddy, my princess, my joy.

Sleep - Laneybug is still an incredible sleeper. She sleeps 730/8 - 7/730 every night and takes a nap from 2 until 4 or 5. Most days we wake her from her nap. She's a heavy sleeper and has a really difficult time waking. But I love her sleepy snuggles.

Eating - She isn't an amazing eater. Never has been ;) She will try anything but she rarely finishes anything. Even donuts, cupcakes, etc. She loves hotdogs, pizza, peas, berries, oats and quesadillas. Beyond that, she's not too thrilled. She eats what she needs to survive and isn't interested in anything else.

Talking - Laney still talks all.the.time. She's quiet and fairly shy in front of others, but she talks my ear off every day. I cannot believe she ended up being a bigger talker than her brother! She's great at telling stories lately and is soaking in new vocabulary daily. She asks a few times a day what this or that means. It's fun to watch her grow and learn.

Play - Our sweet girl is borderline obsessed with Frozen. She loves to pretend play with Landon still. Loves playing outside and just about any play that is done at preschool. She still does roomtime, but for about an hour now. Singing frozen songs in her princess dress is one of her favorite things to do right now. She still loves reading books and puzzles. Coloring and painting are some new favorites she's added recently.

Learning - We are still working on touch counting. When she gets "paid" for her "job" a few times a week we touch count her money and she's doing well with it! She can count to 15 and sight recognizes almost all shapes, all colors, and a lot of letters. Is it bad to not want to teach her much??? I just want her to be my sweet baby a bit longer. Knowing Landon is going to Kinder next year makes me hold her a bit tighter I think.

Dislikes - Laney does not really like coconut milk, any clothing but princess dresses, doing anything for herself, anything she feels is risky, large groups of people, anything sugary that's normal for kids to love.

Likes - Her lovey, princesses, babies, artistic activities, Christmas stuff, anything Frozen, animals, the shows The Hive and Daniel Tiger and Curious George, special girl time with Mom and Yaya, Preschool, and Miss Missy.

 My sweet bug. I love you to pieces. You are so much fun, an absolute joy! Thanks for being so sweet and sassy and funny. You crack us up. I'm honored to be your mama.
