Laneybug is 2.5!!

How is that possible?! She's still my sweet precious baby in so many ways! And yet is so big and doing so many big things!

Sleep - Laney is a great sleeper. She's a higher sleep needs kid for sure. She sleeps really soundly and well too, like her Daddy. ;) She sleep 8pm-730am each night and takes a nap from 1-4. Most days I wake her around 4 so we can do stuff! We just ditched the paci this week and it seemed to make things difficult for a day or two. But I think we are through the worst of it. She didn't even cry much. Just didn't sleep as well.

Eating - Laney doesn't love to eat! She rarely finishes much of anything beyond old fashioned oats and hot dogs and hummus/veggies. She tries and will eat just about anything. But doesn't eat much of anything most days. She loves coconut milk finally too!

Talking - She talks SO much. Some days when they all go down for naps I realize how exhausted I am from talking and listening all day long! She tells us stories lately and it's so fun to listen to what going on in her sweet little head.

Play - Laney loves dress up, puzzles, books and the kitchen. She really loves to pretend play with Landon outside or in the playroom with the kitchen. It's been really fun and sweet to see the friendship they've found. I'm still intervening for arguments often. But they truly play well together! Laney does room time and blanket time each day still for about 30 mins a piece.

Learning - Bug knows how to count to 10. We've been working on touch counting lately. She knows all her colors and almost all shapes. She started singing her ABCs last week and it's ADORABLE. She's already recognizing letters by sight because we work on it with Landon so much.

Other fun things - Laney's been potty trained for about 9 months now. She's been doing fantastic. We literally don't even think about it any more. She was staying dry for naps and nights too, but once Lucas was born that pretty well stopped. Lanehy loves cuddles, mom time, and the Wheels on the Bus show. haha. We are SO sick of that show. Even Landon!!! She's really into princesses and babies right now. It's really fun and sweet. I've really enjoyed playing with her. Especially on mornings when Landon is at preschool and Lucas is asleep. It's a good time for us to hang out and enjoy each other.

We love you SO much Laneybug. You are our sweet. You bring so much fun and laughter to our home. Your goofiness and clumsiness get us all the time. We love your sweet cuddles. Your dad has SO enjoyed rocking you and listening to "your song" together these past nights before bed. I look so forward to watching you grow and change in the coming months. Thanks for being so sweet and easy. I'm so thankful for our sweet and very special relationship we have. I pray it continues for many many years. I hope you always feel loved, wanted, listened to, and accepted by us. Love you sweet girl!
