Laney is 4 months old!

Our sweet little girl is now 4 months old. She is so precious and beautiful! I cannot believe she is mine most days. I just have such an enormous amount of love in my heart for this sweet baby!

Here are some things to remember/update about Delaney :)

Health - Laney had a whole month of more health issues. My poor baby! But just the last week or so it's looking under control! I'm off all dairy/soy/caffeine/citrus fruit and most all gluten. Last week at the dr it was looking down again with slow weight gain and still having blood in her stool. But just in the last 4 days she's gained 5 oz and the GI said that's a fantastic sign that we are on our way to healing! YAY! I have cards here at home to check her stool next week and am praying and praying for clear results! We were also able to lower her meds again and are so thankful for that. Our hope is that once she starts sitting well that we can be off prevacid completely and just on Zantac since it's been trialed and approved in infants and the Prevacid has not. Other than that she is meeting all her milestones and doing fantastic!

Eating - Laney is a pretty good eater. It's been frustrating that her weight gain has been slow, because she will rarely eat anything extra whether it's formula or breast milk. She just doesn't want it. But the GI said that's b/c my supply is actually good, her allergies are just making it difficult for her to gain. She eats every 3-3.5 hrs. She's been eating in the middle of the night again since she got sick again last week. So it's been about a week of her eating between 4 and 6 and then going back down. But whatever I have to do to get her to gain well!

Sleep - She takes 2 2 hr naps and then a 1 hour nap in the evening. She still goes to bed at 8, we dream feed around 11, and then she's back down till 8 unless she's sick or growth spurting. She is a great sleeper. Especially for how much pain the drs tell us she is in. She's doing way better than Landon was at 4 months and neither one of them were sleep trained at that point. She's so chill, I think that's why :)

Disposition - shes' still our angel baby. Rarely ever cries. If she's sick or she has a dirty diaper she whimpers, but doesn't really cry. Anytime she cries we are frantic like "oh no! What?!" because it's just so rare! :)

Growth - she slowed down quite a bit and fell percentiles. But now that she's gaining rapidly I'm hoping she'll catch back up! Her 3-6 stuff is still tight and she will likely be out of it soon. She wears 6-9 month sleepers, but everything else is still 3-6. She's so funny though. She has these tiny narrow little ankles and feet and a pretty small waist. All her weight is in her top half and her thighs :) We can't keep shoes on her for anything. Thank goodness for those adorable toe blooms!

Changes - Laney is rolling both ways like a pro! She started at the beginning of the month and had a super hard time sleeping at first. But now she's doing fantastic and seems to enjoy getting to chose if she sleeps on her back or belly (don't worry! We ALWAYS put her down on her back. We just can't keep her that way). She is really enjoying sitting in the bumbo and the exersaucer more and laying on her play mat less. She really loves to see what's going on around her and is a very distracted nurser because of it now :) She is just our pride and joy. We are so in love with her! I don't know that I've ever done anything as difficult or as awesome as being Landon and Laney's mama. I'm so happy to have them and that at this moment everyone is on their way to being healthy again! :)
