10 months old!

Landon Reed! How on earth are you 10 months old?! Double digits?! REALLY!?!
I cannot believe how big you are getting! You think you are the coolest...probably b/c you are, but that's besides the point. You aren't supposed to KNOW it! :)
You bring your Dad and I such great joy! You are inquisitive, smart, fearless, testing, funny, precious, and just our absolute favorite! Here are some things you've been doing lately:
*Feedings
- You are taking 4 bottles/nursing sessions a day, but this will be your last month of that! Next month we will move to four with a sippy of milk! YUM! :)
- You are eating more "table foods" now. I'm not even making baby food anymore! You generally eat a whole fruit, some oatmeal, puffs/cheerios/mums/yogurt melts (one or two not all of those at one time!), and a yobaby yogurt. For lunch you will eat peas or brocolli and a whole string cheese with some wagon wheels, then for dinner you will generally eat what we are eating. I believe your favorite was the other day when I watered down some taco meat mixed with a bit of milk and cheese! You gobbled that and some tortillas up! So cute! :) You are not eating quite as much as you had been, but still holding steady.
* Sleeping
- this has been a funny month for sleep! You've decided that you'd rather sleep 14 hour nights most of the time. So you go to bed at 745 PM and then often don't wake up until 9 or 10! We think you are confused and want to be a teenager :) You are still taking 2 naps during the day that are between 4 and 5 hours of combined sleep but the amount per nap often varies.
* Activity
- You took your first steps this month! You are still only working on one or two, but you consistently try to take them at least a few times a day and we are so proud!
- You "Crawl run" now and we love to chase you around the house on our hands and knees, you think it's the funniest!
- You clap your hands and feet all the time when you are excited or when music is on, it's adorable
- You continue to be a fantastic dancer and love to shake it whenever a good song comes on. This month your favs have been (the blue button on your drum set, Reba's "Radio", the Office theme song, and the Verizon commercials).
- You continue to constantly bonk your head and face on everything and are fearless. It scares me so much! :( I'm sure you will be like the boy in Brad Paisley's song because your mom and dad were always getting hurt too, but mostly me!
* Play
- Your favorite toys right now are: Your stide to ride dino, Leap frog table, drum set, books, and the hammer to your shape set.
- You are doing 20-30 minutes of Pack N Play time a day and love it! Thank you babywise for being so stinking smart!
* Discipline
- yes, we had to start with the dreaded "no" word this month. I'm so proud of you tho. I cried, A LOT. I was SOOO resistant to beginning this so early, but I'm super glad we did. You totally understand the word "no" and will crawl away and find something else most of the time. You are so smart and very clearly understand what is yours and what is not. That being said.....sometimes you give me a turkey look and smile and do it anyway.....oh my! It's crazy to me how our hearts just start out this way! :)

Landon, you are just our absolute pride and joy. We love you to death and could not be more thrilled that you are ours! We cannot wait to give you a little playmate as we know you will really enjoy one (you have always been such a social little guy!)and continue to look forward to all of your precious milestones. We love you sweet boy!
