Time is just FLYING. I'm almost two weeks late on this! EEK. Matt was in Mexico and my morning sickness has been rocking me! So let's catch up on sweet Lucas Reed.
Health - Lucas seems to be truly improving every month. He still definitely has reflux and needs two kinds of meds to control that and need RX formula for his tummy. And is still on a level one nipple because of the dysphagia. With those things though, everything is controlled and almost normal! You would never look at him and think he wasn't the healthiest thing ever ;) He has had zero feeding aversions this month. He's been doing SO well!
Schedule - Lucas started sleeping through the night this month!!! Just like his sister. Month 7 was magical for some reason? Maybe the sitting up helps their reflux? Not sure. But it's been amazing to get sleep again.
730 - wake and eat 4 oz
8 - eat bananas
830 - pack n play time
9 - sibling play time
930 - nap time
1130 -wake and meds
12 - 6 oz bottle
1230 - peas and or carrots
130 - nap
330/4 - wake and eat 4 oz
530 - meds
6 - peas and or carrots
7 - jammies and bedtime bottle 4-6 oz
9 - dream feed 4 oz and zantac
He's been doing really really well with this schedule. I'm so thankful to be down to two naps now! Even if he is a grump in the evenings for a bit :)
Eating - Lucas is doing really well! He eats an appropriate amount of formula. He's successfully eating peas, carrots and bananas. He failed sweet potatoes and applesauce. Nothing that was a huge deal. Just rashes and such. He LOVES to eat which is really fun after all the feeding issues we had with Delaney.
Growth - Lucas is a big boy! He weighed 17.10 on our scale the other day! I'm pretty sure that was more than Laney at a year haha. Ok, looks like Laney was 17.15 at a year. But so close!! He's still in 6-9 clothes. He will need 9 month jammies real soon here. He's in size four diapers for day and his overnight ones because he's SUCH a heavy wetter. He still has two teeth and I suspect he's working on more. He can sit for what seems like forever now! He loves to rock on his hands and knees and do yoga moves lately, but still no crawling. I do believe he's getting closer, but he's just not too motivated. ;)
Likes - He likes people, bath time, food, playing on his play mat, his siblings, TV (aren't babies not supposed to even notice this??? Our other kids did NOT pay any attention to TV till they were much older), his lovey and nighttime projector deal and naps.
Dislikes - his exersaucer (he thinks he's too big now), being alone (i.e pack n play time!), wind, loud and sudden noises.
Sweet sweet Lucas. You are so precious to us. We are super thankful for you and the blessing you've been to our family!! You will be a great and hilarious big brother! Our big joke recently is that you are SO easy, until you aren't. You have two modes, incredibly mad and super happy. So funny to see what things flip that switch for you. Your brother and sister adore you and so do we! God knew just what He was doing when you got placed in our family. Loves sweet buddy!
