Delaney 18 months

Well, sorry Laney. Mom got pregnant and kinda skipped your 17 month post! I'll try to keep up :) I cannot believe how big you are. You are totally turning into a toddler. You are still so sweet but definitely have an opinion now and like to express it! Your will is about an inch big, which is a certain change from your brother! But you still like to voice how you are feeling about some things quite often.

New things - Laney is done teething! Well, until those pesky two year molars at least. I'm thrilled! Teething + reflux flare = not a mama's friend. :) Laney is crawling out of her crib now for the last month or two. The last time she did she opened her door, pulled some trash out, turned on the TV, messed up her room and was knocking on her brother's bedroom door for him to come join in the fun by the time we caught her! She's a bit of a monkey. So we are looking to move her to a big girl bed soon. It's probably not real safe for her to be making that climb often!

Words and signs - are pretty similar to what they were a few months ago. She's definitely a lot quieter than her brother and like sounds more than she likes real words. She says - beep beep, vroom, makes the noise for pigs, ducks, dogs, cows, sheep says shhhhhh often ; ), signs dog, more, all done, and we are working on potty. Then she says - duck, cat, dog, momma, dadda, bubba, Gaga (Grammy), Gretch,Yah, and no, Yaya.

Food/Eating - Laney is rocking the eating thing! Flares have been almost non-existant now that her teeth are done and we haven't seen any feeding aversion signs in a few months. She also seems to finally be outgrowing some of these intolerances! She ate a piece of cheese the other day and seemed to do great!! Strawberries, tomatoes, tree nuts, soy and unprocessed dairy seem to be questionable still. Our ped left the office and we are so bummed! She had a whole plan to test Laney's food allergies and then to safely test foods in her office with an epi pen on hand. Not sure what we are going to do now? : / But I can't wait to weigh her again! She's been eating so well I think she must be gaining pretty well too!

Schedule still looks really similar to how it's been the last few months-
8 - wake up
9 - ready and pack n play time
10 - snack

12- lunch
1 - nap
430/5 - I wake her up. Lately I've been trying to let her sleep no later than 430 so we can play a bit before dinner/bath/bed chaos.
8 - bedtime

Growth - Oh tiny little girl! You are still in size 4 shoes (although no longer 3s!), 18 month PJs seem to fit you best because you are so long. 9-12 month clothing fits best cloth diaper or not for right now. But you are getting so long your shorts and dresses are starting to look a little questionable ; )

Sibling stuff - You and your brother are just adorable. You love playing together one moment, the next you are screaming at one another. We are working on sharing and using our words. I'm guessing that'll be a kinda long-term work-in-progress? It's really awesome to see how well you guys play and work together already! It makes me not regret having you so close together for sure!

You are so sweet and precious and fun! I never knew having a little girl would be like this! You are beautiful and so precious to us. I feel so blessed to have been chosen as your mama. I pray we will continue to grow close and stay close and that I can help you through the tough life of being a little girl in our culture. I love you sweet Laney-bug.
