I feel like time is flying. I cannot believe that Laney is not just a year, but now 15 months already! I feel like she's changing daily! She is showing more of her will, adorable personality, and sharing lots of giggles regularly. She is just beautifully adorable!
New stuff this month, She has two I teeth now and two molars. The other four are currently working through. She has been miserable. She and Landon both got a bad cough a week or so ago and between that and the teeth there's been lots of tears for miss Laney. :( She is also communicating more and more. She answers just about anything she understands (which is like 90% of what we ask her) and we are super impressed by how much she knows and knows what she wants! She is trying to say more and more words when we ask and really morphing out of babyhood.
Words/signs - she's been improving in using her words/signs instead of just whining for things. I don't think she has any new signs as we stopped working on them after more, please, thank you, and all-done. Her new word is spoon. Everything else is the same. :)
Food/eating - Laney still LOVES that bottle. We decided once teeth are through we would like to get rid of the bottle as she's drinking milk from a sippy much better lately! She's doing maybe 15-20 oz of coconut milk a day (if we are lucky ;) ). You love to eat. I've never seen a baby act like she does about food! I took half a plate of cookies to care group the other night and she was in her high chair eating dinner and could see what I had and bawled when she realized I was taking them. I had to show her the other plate full on the counter to get her to stop! She is so impatient when she's hungry and eats SO much. It's normal for her to out-eat me every breakfast and most lunches. Dinner I normally have her beat ; ) Favorites are - oats, anything with coconut oil, black/blue berries, cauliflower, meat of any kind, and eggs. Days her teeth hurt her eating really slows down. But all others, I have no idea where it goes!
Sleeping - this is the first time she's woken in the middle of the night in months! We hardly knew what to do with ourselves. haha. She woke up three nights in a row till those teeth were through and now it's over. Funny how much I can take sleep for granted when we've gotten so much of it for so long! Her schedule looks like this (we are fully on one nap now).
8 - wake time
9 - ready and pack n play time
10 - snack
12- lunch
1- nap
430/5 - wake (lots of times I wake her)
530 - Table or blanket time
730 - bath
8 - bed time
Growth - We have our weight check tomorrow morning so I'll have to update that later. She's moving out of 12 month sleepers, but still able to wear them for now. Size 4 shoes, 12 month tops/dresses, but still 9 month bottoms and some of those even are big.
Sibling time- They started fighting this month! It's so weird. For some reason I thought this wouldn't start till she could talk at least? haha. But she yells at him and screams bloody murder if he takes something she really wanted. She still pretty laid back and won't make a big fuss unless she was really needing to cook some waffles in the specific pan! Then it's all over ; )
Our beautiful special girl. We are so in love with you. Your sweet little sparkle and fiesty little attitude. You are 100% girl! We are so blessed to be your parents. I cannot believe God has allowed us to be the parents of two wonderful kids that are such wonderful little individuals already. We are so proud of you and are excited to see what next month brings!
