Delaney is 14 months old!

Our big girl Laney is 14 months! She is so sweet and feisty and adorable. I feel like she's becoming more and more of a little person and less of a baby! Which makes me happy for her growth of course and sad for me! Haha. Lucky for us she's a great cuddler so that eases the transition a bit!

 New stuff this month - Laney has one molar and it appears all others are following. She's had the flu these past few days and has been super sad and sick :( Teething + sickness = unhappy little! She's transitioning to one nap now and that's weird! That definitely makes her seem bigger to me. She is still loving music and animals and her "people". She is super ticklish and has the cutest giggle when we tickle her chest/belly.

Words/signs - I think Dada is her favorite word in the world! Same words/signs as last month. She's shaking her head "yes" and shrugging her shoulders now when we ask her questions and follows directions pretty well! She still grunts and points and whines, so we are continuing to work on using words/signs instead! Good was her new word this month. Super cute!

Food/eating - Still doing 3 sippies and 1 bottle of coconut milk a day. You are doing a really good job drinking it all lately which makes momma feel much more at ease. You still love to eat and out-eat your brother every meal! But seem to have slowed down a bit lately. You love berries (but not strawberries, we found out this month you are intolerant!). You love steamer veggies, cucumbers, apples, cheerios, any kind of meat, rice and oats, etc. You are not too fond of quinoa for whatever reason! You still get REALLY upset when I don't let you eat things that will hurt your tummy. Hoping you can understand sooner than later. I feel really bad!

Sleep - You little sleep schedule has been looking like this lately. 2-3 days in a row you do one nap, then 1-2 days you do two. Being sick you've done two most days, but I know that will change back once you are well again.

8 - Wake
1045- Nap
1115-  Wake (momma has to wake)
2 - Nap
430/5 - I normally wake her
8 - bedtime

One nap days look like this -

I'm guessing by next month we will be at just one nap all the time, which is fun! It's nice to go to church and library time and the park in the mornings when Bubba is home with our friends and have a happy girl!

Growth - We weighed Laney at our friend's house at the beginning of this month and it looked like she'd gained at least a few oz! So I think she's doing well! She's still in 12 month clothes. Some pants/skirts that are 9-12 are still too big. Just depends. Leggings are our best friend!

Independent play - We haven't been working on this as much due to teething/sickness. But she is an "alone time" person just like her mama. I can already tell. She is so content in pack n play time each morning and loves her blanket time too. She claps and makes cute excited noises when she sees me pull out the blanket and toys. :) Her brother has never disliked this time, but never was this excited either haha. She seems to really look forward to it every day.

Sibling time - Delaney continues to l-o-v-e her brother. She thinks he's the coolest. But some things have definitely been changing lately! She is not ok with it when he steals her toys. She gets upset. We are currently working on NOT hitting him in the face when he takes her toys. She never seems super upset or hits him hard, but still inappropriate. It's so fun to watch him push her around on toys and watch them play games on the ipad together and such. I think they will be great friends! Their personalities are so different and I think that will help them always mesh pretty well :)
