9 month old baby girl!

Laneybug is 9 months old. How can that be!? She is SO big! She reminds me of that like every day. I feel like she already knows that I'm trying to keep her a baby for longer and is trying to keep me in check :)

I don't even know how I can list all the new things she's doing! Laney has 5 teeth and one more breaking through as I'm typing this. Fun stuff ya'll! Fun stuff. :) She is clapping and waving and trying to sign. She tries to repeat sounds that we make and funny faces. She's sticking her tongue out and getting a little attached to her thumb! But she still loves her paci. She is standing for long periods of time (30-60 sec) without holding on to anything and has taken two tiny steps (not together). She is determined to keep up with that brother of hers! You can tell she just adores him already and he's already annoyed ; ) She is screeching (happily) like all the time! She says hi while waving and mama and dada and bububububub which I like to think is for bubba (our nickname for Landon).

Feeding - We switched her meds around because she started refusing food again this month. So we are doing 7.5 mg of Prevacid in the morning and 1.4 mLs of Zantac in the evening. It's working great and I feel like her reflux is once again under control! :) Everything this month has been wonky! I trialed nuts and she failed (mucus poop and eczema and poor sleep) I then trialed dairy 3 weeks later and we thought it failed because her disposition was sadder and more irritable and she was sleeping poorly. But then she popped a tooth and the other started coming too and we all got colds. Soooo I'm not sure if that was a fail or not? We'll see what the GI thinks on Tuesday. :) She is FINALLY eating solids! Some friends told me to do half a bottle, solids, other half. We did it for 4 or 5 days and it's like she remembered that food is awesome and started to eat again and her milk intake just went down a tiny bit which is A-OK because she drinks SO MUCH milk for her age and wasn't eating any solids. So she does 8 oz, 6 oz, 6 oz, 8 oz. Which is great. I can keep up and manage that. I cannot keep up with the 30 oz she was wanting to drink prior to eating solids again! :) She still is only doing finger foods. She loves Cheerios, Kix, Peas, Carrots, Squash, Toast, peaches, pears, plums, apples, and many more. I am trying to get more creative. I feel like she's over what I've been giving her lately since it doesn't vary much. She's just so limited in options and I'm kinda scared of everything!

Sleep - She's still our good sleeper! After the nut trial she was waking around 3 am again every night for like a week. We got up and fed her and she went back down till her wake time. I was exhausted! haha. But after it cleared my system (nuts take a week) she went back to normal sleep. Her schedule looks like this for sleep
8 - wake
930 - nap
1120 - wake (we pick Landon up from preschool 2 days a week at 1130)
2 -nap
430 - wake
8 - bedtime
The child loves sleep. She is just like her brother :) When we turn on her humidifier and give her her paci she starts kicking her legs and making noises because she is just SO excited. It cracks me up each time. I still sing to her and she lays on me with her lovey and paci. It's super sweet especially now that she's all over the place and doesn't have time to cuddle when she's awake :)

Disposition - Everyone tells us what an angel baby she is :) I can't help but agree! She is super chill and sweet. I think it's safe to say at this point that this is just her. It's just how she is :) She is a TOTAL mommas girl. She started getting picky this month. She reaches for me and cries when I leave the room and is fussy for others at bedtime and I've been told it's like she's "looking" for me. Haha. Can you tell I LOVE it? Because I totally do!! She also has become quite the little explorer this month! She is crawling on and over things, knocking things over, standing up in the tub, standing on Landon's dino, etc. She's becoming the one to watch more and more these days :) Oh! And she LOVES the bathroom. She must know that I'm a germaphobe and cannot stand the thought of her in there!

Growth - Laney is a long peanut! She is maybe 17ish lbs. We go to the doc later this week and will find out all her stats. But she is just perfect! She's dainty and little but has chubber cheeks and chunky little thighs. I just love it! Lucky duck is built like her Aunt Linds!

Sibling love - It's been super fun this month to start watching the kids interact more and more. They take baths together and she laughs at his sillyness and he feeds off her attention and laughter. They play in each others rooms and giggle and have fun until Landon gets to rough. Then she starts to squawk at him like a little bird as his warning to back off! I love it. He is still too rough with her sometimes and talks to her like she can understand his 2 yr old garbled sentences. haha. He gets super frustrated when he wants her to follow him and she just doesn't seem to understand or care :)

Ohhhh Laneybug. We just love you SO much. This month I'm going to start making plans for your birthday (which we will be celebrating on the beach!) and your party (how are you going to be 1?!) and all these holidays coming up. I just can't believe how time has flown. You are such an amazing and precious special little gift from God. I cannot get over how blessed we are to have you and your brother. We love u!
