Mother's Day this year lasted for a few days for us. It was so great! So it began with Cinco De Mayo dinner celebration. We went out as our little family of 3.5 to this great mexican place. It was PACKED and there was a Mariachi band playing that Landon loved. We had a blast. It was a very special treat as the 3 of us never really go out together alone. It was the perfect dinner celebration!
Saturday we went down to Phx to celebrate my momma. On the way down Landon choked on a fruit snack thing and ended up puking....everywhere. Fantastic. Haha. After 20 min of cleaning up in the McDonald's parking lot, we retreated back home (a 15 min drive) to bathe and pull the carseat apart. Once cleaned up, we installed the other carseat into Matt's car and were off again! Despite the minor setback, the rest of the day was great! We stopped for lunch in Anthem and then went swimming with Nana and Papa. After a nap we all went out to Buca Di Beppo with my family. We had yummy food and got to celebrate my wonderful mom and all that she is to us. Then we waited in a ridiculously long lime for a Sprinkles cupcake (I thought it was pretty awesome) and then opened presents at home. It was a very fun day!!
Sunday we went to church and then went over the Grammy and Grandpa's house for lunch. We had great Mexican food and opened presents and got ready for our photo shoot (Grammy's present) but it didn't work out. So we are going to go back next weekend. But it was a great time with our Shire's Family and celebrating my fantastic Mother-in-law! Then that afternoon we came home and had naps and Matt went to Nic's (my fav restaurant ever!) and picked up desert for us. It was incredible. We spent the rest of the evening chilling and I feel so blessed for this amazing little family that God's given to me. There's nothing I'd rather be doing than being a mama to my precious little Landon Reed and my Belly Bean. :)
